Let’s see, you have to check yourself in then you have to do it about 5 more times because they can’t tell you over the phone the results of your tests. It’s too hard to bill insurance for that.

My pre- and post-surgical visits with Dr. Straub were productive and both my hip replacement surgeries were successful.
Slocum orthopedic is by far the worst medical facility I’ve had to deal with. It took 18 days for an appointment and I did not feel that the staff took my logical and pertinent concerns seriously.
The staff are very helpful, the surgical staff were incredible, and Dr. Shapiro has been excellent throughout diagnosis, surgery and follow-up. Thank you all!
The diagnosis and treatment process was methodical. Once the problem was diagnosed, I underwent physical therapy and then an injection. Although neither of these interventions worked, I was referred to an orthotics specialist who fitted me for orthotics. The orthotics did solve the problem.
Dr Matthew Shapiro is not a very honest man. He treated me like i was stupid. He made me feel like i am a useless human being. He straight lied to my face!!!! I will never go back.
I loved the matter of fact knowledge Dr. Lance provided me with. He wasn’t trying to be my friend like I feel with a lot of doctors these days and really appreciated his down to business attitude.
My experience at Slocum was the best. They listened, they explained my options understandably and they treated me with dignity and respect. I can’t say enough good about the team at Slocum.
The check-in process is taking me 40 minutes and I’m still waiting at 10:25 for a 10:00 appointment. It’s my first time here I will update you on how the appointment goes.

Broke my collarbone which started as not a full bone break, during the surgery they snapped it in half so they could put the titanium rod in which pokes out of my skin about 1/4 inch. 5 months later and i still have quite a bit of pain where the hardware pokes out. (Not through the skin)
Doctors and nurses are great but the wait can be long at times. Dr. Walton was my 3 year olds surgeon and he’s also done surgery on me and he is wonderful! Dr. Macha is also good and Dr. Koester is great with kids!
My wife and I are patients at Solcum. In our collective opinions, this is the best run medical facility we have ever encountered. I like to say it runs like a well oiled machine. Their physicians are world class; extremely good at what they do.

I saw Dr. Shah over a 1 year period for a double knee replacement along with an unforseen chipped knee cap. When the knee cap broke, 6 weeks after surgery, it took awhile to get into him but once there he was attentive and worked with me to solve the pain. I would recommend him highly.
