I was shocked when I came in and the on call dr never looked at the injury. Did a CT scan of parts of my body not at all involved in the reason I was there. Seemed he really wanted nothing more but to get rid of us.
The facilities, staff and procedures were wonderful. I was seen almost immediately, and blood test was taken, as well as a CT scan. My one (non-trivial) concern is that the report that Dr. Shah wrote stated a diagnosis of COPD, while I have IPF (Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis), which is a VERY different disease.

The care was excellent . . . once I tracked down someone to help me. I went to the hospital in the middle of the night. There was no one at the front desk or lobby, so I started wandering the halls for about ten minutes before I could find anyone on the staff to help me. That was my only complaint.

I was at HCA South Shore Hospital recently for a routine annual mammogram. My wait was pleasant very minimal, the woman who checked me in was excellent and efficient, and the woman who conducted the testing was kind and gentle. The very next day I was informed of my results. I am a very grateful patient of HCA South Shore.
Nice and kind staff, but definitely not the team. He went in with A Fib 160 beats they released him at 94 beats. Next day we went to Bay Care on Big Ben, St. Joseph’s they kept him overnight and he left the next day at 60 beats.
I was very blessed to have Dr Copeland and nurses Tia and Elise to take care of me. I was there for 4 nights and of everyone that treated me, these three were fantastic and really cared about me getting better. If it weren’t for them I would’ve been there longer because the rest of my care takers just were going through the motions.
