The service wasn’t too bad, but their billing department is a terrible pain to work with. They kept tranfering me to someone else, and then never returned any of my messages.
Spartanburg Water should do their jobs and Focus on how bad the water smells and taste instead of popping up in the news so frequently. Get yourselves together or move on.
i reside in the City of Spartanburg but i have noticed Spartan Water in the news recently in a squabble with Lake homeowners. After a Google search seems as if Spartan Water has had run ins with SCDNR, City council, as well as some other issues. Maybe your leadership needs updating.
All of my interactions with Spartanburg Water have been positive. They have great customer service and the field staff are courteous and quick to resolve issues.
Took a lil bit to get someone on the phone (7 mins on hold) but once I did the rep was so kind and courteous and answered my questions precisely and was so nice. I’ve had Spartanburg Water for over 3 years now. Nice people if you bother to actually work with them.

If I could give no stars I would, turned off water because of missed payment which we aren’t convinced is true looking at card statements. I have had SWS for 3 years. The first month there was a mixup and my water was turned off. We contacted them and straightened it out, they turned the water on the same day with no fee. I paid over 3 times as much for water in Iowa and I got a break for agriculture use, it would have been more. I am more than happy with our service.
The employees at Spartanburg water are some of the nicest people you will ever want to deal with and that is important when you are moving or just have a question or concern. I have called numerous times and every associate has been most helpful and answered all questions.
