Gross neglect was what I experienced here. Dr. Massey on the woman’s unit couldn’t even recognize that I was having a Manic episode, with mixed features. If I could I wouldn’t even give this place a one star, maybe the one for the half decent food.
I could go on and on about this place but to keep it short, this place saved my life. The nurses, therapy, and all the way to the cafeteria. It is so underrated and it should be changed. I will definitley give this place a 5 stars!!!! Thank you springwoods
The staff is amazing. The food is pretty good. The people I met there and bonded with will be in my hearts forever. It was an amazing life changing experience and I’m so glad I went through with it. ❤
Honestly it was amazing in the kids unit they were very nice and they made sure we ate and went to bed on time they made sure we all had our medicine and it was overall a really good experience

The staff is amazing and the adolescent unit and staff go above and beyond for the youth and their parents. Mr. Keith and Miss Kelsey are God’s angels and Springwoods is a excellent facility if one needs it.
If you truly need help and are willing to have someone help you, I highly recommend Springwoods. The staff are all amazing and are truly trying their best to help each individual. If you’re just looking for a place to stay or vacation, then I’d recommend finding a hotel somewhere nice.

The staff was awesome and I met some wonderful people while I was there. Great food with little time to eat and they keep you busy all day so you can’t dwell on why your there. Only complaint was they need someone to clean the place because it was dirty. Perhaps there is a new career for me there ha-ha..

There is no communication between staff and caregiver. Discharge is a complete mystery. They didn’t even tell us until the day of. When picking up you have to wait in your vehicle for hours even though you scheduled it. The staff is mostly friendly and helpful when you get to talk with them.
Not only did this place save me from one of the darkest times in my life, but I felt like I could help everyone I was around. The staff really do care about getting the best care possible for you, and they listen and respect your choices. …
Pretty good! Though the girls unit has more hands on groups than the co-ed unit. That unit you basically just sit there for hours watching videos. not very helpful and most of the kids didnt bother to watch them. They failed to educate me …
No communication between staff members. They’ll ask you the same basic info until you want to pull your hair out. It’s just common courtesy and respect to approach your patient as if you have a clue at all who they are. I’m talking basic …
Was admitted into the girls unit against my own will, thought it wouldn’t help me, but I actually got a little better. The staff are amazing, some were like my own parents honestly. I’d go back just to see them, Springwoods is a great hospital to go to. They really care about you😁 …

The staff have no idea what they’re doing. It’s very obvious they’re not actually trained mental health professionals and are instead RNs/CNAs instructed to read off useless worksheets. They’re nice enough, but it’s also obvious you, as a …

it was alright, the food was okay-ish. i learned stuff there unlike vantage point, do not go to vantage point. you just sit around and wait to leave there, unlike here. here we actually learned coping skills and things to do instead of sh & suicide.
i was put on the girls unit there was more drama then help and the doctor i was seeing blamed everything in my personal life one me they ended up discharging me to go home despite the fact i told them about my abusive family and that i was …

I can’t say enough great things about Spring woods. My son was referred there-he has had stays in psych facilities before, and this was definitely the best one. Intake was rough (it took 6 HOURS), but they completely took care of my child. …
This has got to be one of the best places to be. If you need help go to Springwoods. I was worried I may not learn new coping skills or learn how to control my anxiety, but it was the complete opposite. I made new friends, I controlled my anxiety and I learned new ways to cope with life.
If you are an extremely anxious person like i am, don’t come here it will only make it worse. Very uncomfortable and cold 24/7. Provided with one flimsy pillow and thin blanket unless you ask. A few of the staff members seemed to hate their …
Doesn’t deserve a star the worst facility. My daughter has ever been in there for almost 2 weeks and never once did I speak to the doctor every time I would call and say that they were busy and someone will call me back. Never got a call. …
A year ago I would’ve never posted anything that might suggest I had a problem. That anxiety and reluctance he to talk about my issues are gone; they are gone because of Springwoods. My experience over the month long program that I was in, …

I went here abt a year ago and I had gone a year before that. The first time was super successful. I felt amazing coming out of it. The second time I had some major issues. Some of the staff were kind and others shoukdnt be working there. I …
There is no communication between staff and caregiver.
They really care about you😁 …
Dr. Boydstun, in my opinion, is the best Psychiatrist in the area. I had gone to others in the area and didn’t feel like they really took the time to listen and some even seemed unsympathetic to my struggles. I’ve been going to him for a …
The Women’s Unit Staff are absolutely amazing. They treat everyone with care and understanding. I went in there with so much stress burdens and guilt and not wanting to live to leaving with an understanding of what was going wrong inside …
The staff have no idea what they’re doing. It’s very obvious they’re not actually trained mental health professionals and are instead RNs/CNAs instructed to read off useless worksheets. They’re nice enough, but it’s also obvious you, as a …
Are you feeling depressed ? Is everything too much? I did Springwoods outpatient group therapy and I can tell you that is one of the best choices I’ve ever made for myself in my life. The therapists are absolutely amazing and getting …
Our experience with a family member here was wonderful from start to finish. Staff was kind, considerate and respectful. I did not experience any of the issues expressed negatively in the other reviews. Everyone was understanding of how …
Staff needs to communicate better with each other as well as the patients. I spoke to a Staff member while signing a no consent of medication as my son was in intake. Within 24 hours of being admitted he had already been given medication. …
I arrived at springwood behavioral clinic after being on the phone with Natalie (outpatient coordinator) for about half an hour during a mental health crisis. UAMS transferred my phone call to her line after calling my previous psychiatric …
I went to the Women’s unit when I was having substance and psychological difficulties. There I found tremendous support from staff and my “women’s family” that I made there with other clients. For the six days there I felt safe and I left …
Love my whole experience. Hated Dr. Rahmen though. I told him I wanted to be a Librarian and he told me to not pursue that because books will be gone in the future….? And then he proceeded to talk about his Brilliant daughter who writes …
Stayed in the adult day care ward for 6 days before opting to discharge early after being ignored by their in-house physician, Dr. Shefa Rahman. I reluctantly agreed to try some medications, but after a week when I tried to relay symptoms …
it was alright, the food was okay-ish. i learned stuff there unlike vantage point, do not go to vantage point. you just sit around and wait to leave there, unlike here. here we actually learned coping skills and things to do instead of sh & suicide.
i was put on the girls unit there was more drama then help and the doctor i was seeing blamed everything in my personal life one me they ended up discharging me to go home despite the fact i told them about my abusive family and that i was …
This place is incredible. Changed my life. They got me sorted out on meds and made me understand radical acceptance and the window of tolerance which has helped me significantly. Im a strong advocate for this place and if you need help, go …
I spent five days at Springwoods and I can’t stress enough how well I was treated. From the doctors to the nurses to the techs to the cafeteria staff everyone was kind, considerate, and respectful. All of my needs were met quickly and …
I can’t say enough great things about Spring woods.
My experience over the month long program that I was in, …
Everyone is this place cares. I went 33 years without mental health help and I found it here! I cannot praise them enough. Truly feel blessed having finished the program. If you’re on the fence about coming here, please take my words as …
helped me in a time of need but only went outside 1 time (10 mins) out of the full 7 days that i was there. no exercise either. i left feeling very weak. (please do better in helping patients to move their bodies & get some sun). …
Never got to actually go myself, I went to valley behavioral. But from everything I have heard from the 3 people I know who went, I would have much rather gone here. They ask about and respect your preferred name and pronouns, they have …
The food is actually pretty good. Loved the group sessions where they talk about different educational topics for mental health. Sometimes they rely a little too heavily on tedtalks. the staff there were all super nice and helpful. if you …
