Most of these reviewers are talking about the place next door. (Duh!) SP W&L is a city-owned utility that has a history of being very friendly and responsive.
Very disappointed because we are very consistent with my usage and the one month the need to “estimate my usage” because they didn’t read it, it is double what we use every other month and what our usage was the same month a previous year. Why do they estimate so often? And why are the “estimates” so far off?
The guy who sets up internet is horrible. We had to deal with him twice unfortunately, and he was rude both times. The second time he set up the router in the bedroom, for whatever reason. They also shut off our internet for a few days …

I went into the lobby to talk to a lady to pay on my bill. And she looked at me and said this is all you paying really. Like lady dose it matter what I’m paying. take my money and let me move on with my day.
There must have been some miscommunication because I was unaware that I needed services through SP Utilities and instead of SP Utilities trying to get a hold of me for late payments, they sent it to collections. …
Sp utility’s is a joke!! Turned off my power over a $68.00 bill. Did not try and contact me or anything. Then charged me a fee to reconnect. Horrible company.
Absolutely horrible money hungry company. Unfortunately I have no choice but to go here but Absolutely horrible. They throw extra charges on bills that they won’t take care of then make you look stupid for asking why it’s being charged. If you can avoid this place, avoid it!! They also charge you for being a customer…
