We just moved from Florida to Texas so you can imagine the anxiety about making sure we had all the appropriate paperwork. By reviewing the required document online ahead of time, I saved time and a trip during my appointment. Jacob was very patient and friendly. I got my tags and didn’t spend a lot of time there. I had an appointment, arrived 10 minutes early, checked in and still had to wait an hour and a half after my appointment time to be helped. The staff were generally rude and unhelpful.
“Becky” was the worst. Super unhelpful and got an attitude when I was trying to question and explain things and said “this is the way it is” in a rude and raised voice. Basically in a way that was “deal with it”. People like this should not be in a setting that is supposed to serve the tax paying public.
I may not end up getting my issues resolved today but the director, Alma, did an amazing job at least making me feel like I was heard, as well as has gone above and beyond to try to help me sort some rather arbitrary issues. Some of this …

Should be no stars because I didn’t even get inside. But here’s a free tip: If you’re going to completely close the Round Rock office to the public on Wednesday, and then you feel like you need to close the Georgetown office on a weekday for training… How about closing it, oh, I dunno… So other day than Wednesday.
