The youngest son of two teachers, Dr. LaGrone grew up in rural southern Georgia. He came to Vanderbilt University for his undergraduate education, then loving Nashville, he stayed for Medical School, Internal Medicine Residency, and fellowships in Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology. Married with two teenaged daughters, Dr. LaGrone is an Elder in his church, and enjoys golf, Titans football, and travel.
