The youngest son of two teachers, Dr. LaGrone grew up in rural southern Georgia. He came to Vanderbilt University for his undergraduate education, then loving Nashville, he stayed for Medical School, Internal Medicine Residency, and fellowships in Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology. Married with two teenaged daughters, Dr. LaGrone is an Elder in his church, and enjoys golf, Titans football, and travel.

Dr. Colllins and his staff are awesome and I am so glad that I found them. I was diagnosed with SLE over 10 years ago in LA and had to move to the Nashville area this year and struggled to find a rheumatologist. This practice was recommended to me by my ENT office and I am so glad that they did.
Matt is very knowledgeable and caring . I would recommend Matt highly . He is truly the best .
