The Villages Regional Hospital Reviews ( 250 )

  1. Had to wait in waiting room for excessive hours, even with people with more severe issues than I had. Do not seem to care for the patients.

  2. Do not go here. Do not take your love ones here. Too much to complain about and I am too sick to take the time to go into detail. They never gave me the antivenom I requested for a black widow spider bite. Later.

  3. Worst hospital and doctors I have ever seen. They have no clue of your charts, condition the laziest nursing staff, ordering tests that don’t pertain to your symptoms. I highly recommend not going to this hospital. Horrible

  4. I brought my son here to get help they put him him in jail because he tried to escape while having a break down with suicidal issues nurse feel down when he tried to leave they charged him with attacking . My opinion if they cant handle …

  5. DON’T LET THE BEAUTIFUL PICTURE FOOL YOU – THIS HOSPITAL IS TERRIBLE. MY MOM TOLD ME BEFORE SHE DIED THAT THEY WERE GOING TO KILL HER. THE NURSES WOULD NOT LISTEN AND THE URGENCY OF MY MOM’S SITUATION WAS IGNORED ULTIMATELY LEADING TO …

  6. We’ve been in the ER for four hours. There’s a lady who has been here nearly twelve hours who is doubled over in pain. There was some guy waiting who was bleeding all over the place. This place is insanely slow. Avoid this place.

  7. If you want to stay alive don’t go here. family member came via ambulance. Dr incorrectly diagnosed kidney stones when it was left lower lobe pneumonia.person now in real hospital awaiting operation to drain lungs. Go to Ocala regional instead.I wouldn’t bring a dog to the villages.

  8. hospital is poorly managed the nurses look biologically older than their chronological age with mulple health conditions so sad they are unhealthy with a low life expectacy

  9. I was brought to TV Hospital by ambulance after blacking out from a heart condition… Although I don’t remember much about the first day, when I awoke and received care from the nurses and spoke with various doctors, I felt very much at …

  10. This place misdiagnosed me twice!!! On two separate occasions for two different problems I will not recommend anybody to go there . This place is that bad (tall brown and gray haired older male doctor in the ER) go to Ocala if you need help that’s my review.

  11. Do not go to this hospital for care.. My aunt was brought in 2 days ago and its been a nightmare since she’s been there.. They dont answer the bed call button my aunt waited over 2 hrs for them to come help her use the potty thr 1st time …

  13. Was their with my husband he was in serious pain couldn’t walk, and they set him a wheel chair for 4 hours befor we desided to leave not one time did anyone bother to say anything to us other than he will be seen when it was his turn but they were seeing other people that came in after us. Will not return

  14. Plan on waiting forever to be seen. God forbid you get admitted I’m still waiting for a room it’s 10 am I came in yesterday afternoon it took them after 2 am to admit me 10 am next day I’m still waiting for a room. Some of the staff is very rude the nurse got mad bc she was on the phone griving

  15. The elderly patients are borderline abused with neglect from most of the nurses, most of them don’t even check on patients in need who have mobility problems. All the money this hospital gets and they can’t even train their staff to even be respectful to the patients.

  16. Efficient and friendly care. Emergency room can have a long wait but the urgent care across the hall might be a better place to start if you are not brought in by ambulance

  17. Unbelievably the worst hospital ever. Admittedly I have been running from doctors and this health issue O have but when I went for help I was treated with contempt and when I complained I was painted as difficult and unruly the worst experience with any so called healthcare organization ever do anything go anywhere not there

  18. READ THE FINE PRINT WHEN YOU MAKE A PAYMENT! I paid in cash when I went to the ER in full. Now there trying to change me another $500 and $917 from my “doctors visit” when I Paid everything in full while I was there. Seriously get your financial department in order this is ridiculous.

  19. Waited in waiting room 3 hours with my mom. She has a loop recorder and her heart stopped. Finally decided to find another hospital!! Said it would be another 2 hours before she would be seen!!!!

  24. If I could leave this hospital zero stars, I would. They treat their patients horribly, if they even treat them properly at all. It is constantly understaffed, and constantly overfilled.

  25. ER personnel are very friendly but it doesn’t matter what kind of condition you’re in you’re gonna sit and wait hours to be seen there were three people walk out while I was there because they got tired of waiting

  26. I do not love the emergency room. It is just better than being at a morgue, funeral home, you get the idea….
This hospital is in Sumter County, if you wish to research past performance.

  27. DO NOT WORK HERE IN THE LAB !!! DO NOT !! This is the worst hospital i ever worked in my life ! Marsha and ruth work in the lab as managers and the shouldnt be them they are rasict and the pick and choose who they want to work there i …

  28. My sister was taken here after some injuries. She was treated but she had cognitive deficits and was declared incompetent to make decisions. Instead of getting her to a psychiatric place they dumped her in a rehab facility where she could not get the help that she needed.

  29. We got a copy of my husband’s records and half the information was wrong. It documents that they gave him 2 units of insulin for readings sich as 107 and 115. Those are not high blood sugar levels after fasting. I’m amazed that they didn’t kill him.

  30. Horrible ER. Still here 3.5 hours in the ER waiting room. The registration people are rude. The guy up front registering patients as they come in is unfriendly. We will bypass this place from now on.

  31. My wife can’t walk because of she is in so much pain. Has been in the ER waiting room for 4 hours. We told the desk she was going to pass out and they told use to wait. Worse hospital ever

  32. Being from the Chicago area I have learned we are completely spoiled when it comes to health care. Doctors don’t communicate, tech is not up to date, overall care is subpar. I have suggested to my parents to seek medical care elsewhere. …

  38. I will say they were very fast but the nurses etc were not to friendly. I don’t enjoy the “your not welcome here” feeling. The information guy and the check out guy were the only friendly ones there. They would cut me off before I finished …

  39. The worst Hospital that exists! My husband lay in ER with a broken hip and heart condition for 19 hours without a Doctor seeing him. That is par for the course!. Everybody should complain to Sumter County that we need and deserve a New Hospital to take care of us in the Villages!!! .

  40. Worst hospital ever. Very rude staff. And the excuse for this bad behavior and super long wait times is their computer system is down. They said this very same excuse last week. Lies. No way a hospital in The Villages is going to have their computer system down for a week. This is just an excuse for laziness

  41. I have only had the most exemplary care in this facility. I’m really at a loss about the nasty comments here. The ER is not a Quick Clinic. Go to one of the 24 hour clinics that are on practically every street corner in practically every CVS pharmacy. Don’t use ER facilities as your clinic for not emergency purposes!!!

  45. Been waiting up here for six hours now waiting for my husband to see a doctor. He’s literally sitting in the waiting room with an IV stuck in his arm for five hours now. We asked is there anyone we can talk to see how much longer this will take just to see a doctor and they said they don’t know.

  46. Worst experiences. You don’t have enough time to read my frustrations. My Dad was physically abused by an ICU charge nurse. H.H.
My Dad didn’t deserve it, and she doesn’t deserve to be a nurse.
Take your family somewhere else, unless you want to have your hearts broken.

  47. Dirty, no patient care, staff could care less about patients. Don’t follow Drs. orders. They don’t empty and clean bed pans, just leave them in the bathroom. Don’t give bed baths to bed ridden patients. Never ask if they can get something for patient. I would not take my dog there, and certainly not my lived one.

  136. My Mom was admitted through the ER last Tuesday and although the admitting process was unreasonably slow. Once she was given a room on the 3rd floor she was very well taken care of by the entire staff. It is my opinion that this area is too populated and needs a additional hospital in order to provide the best care.

  137. Unfortunately, I was admitted as a patient at The Villages Regional Hospital almost a year ago. Reason: I was on a ladder and it collapsed.
Result: cracked bones in my lower spine. …

  138. I cannot Express the kindness and excellent care that was given to me in the Joint Replacement wing. Everyone there was wonderful and caring. 146. My baby is 2.. he couldn’t keep anything down for almost 2 weeks. The waiting room was super empty. They did one xray and a flu swab. I waited 5 hours while my son screamed and cried and NOT ONE person asked if we were ok. Then I had to get …

  147. I have never in my life had an experience as bad as this ER. I won’t go into all the details, but basically I came in with my 6 year old and we are from Tennessee. No one was there to check us in. The staff was so irritated that we needed …

  159. This ER is a joke!! I was there for chest pain. They gave me baby asprin and left me sitting in A CHAIR for hrs!! SAID THEY ADMITTED ME. but still left me in a chair uncomfortable for hrs more and I finally had to leave to go home, to get …

  168. Lots to tell but one thing is the valuables envelope wasn’t sealed, that should of been a no brainer. Also the nurse station phone rings off the wall, gotta love that when your family members on oxygen and can’t talk. Administration folks need to get with it, your reviews say alot about you.

  169. needed to visit the ER on a Friday afternoon, very crowded and busy, yet the hospital staff stayed calm and helpful. Our experience could not have been better anywhere. 177. I’ve been here at least three times, was it made it every time. It does take a long time in the ER I laid there for 14 hours last time before being taken upstairs.
