Sorry excuse of a hospital!!! Rude and inconsiderate people work here
it stinky 🙁
Great nurses
Staff was amazing!
Awesome
Trash.
cool place, but everyone here is crazy.
My Nephew was there and he say it staff was nice
No hospital it’s at treatment clinic no neurology testing, ect doctors are called in when needed ask before go there
Freedom care! 1north. Thank you so much! Teddy, Kris, jeanna, Conrad.
The outpatient staff are so amazing
I had a wonderful experience there every time I feel suicidal they take me in
They helped me to be properly dual diagnosed. Now I can get the RIGHT help I need
I will be coming back to assist running this place. I would like to work here I had such an amazing experience.
for those of you who are looking to detox, this is as good as it gets. Trust me I know. Hold your head up
Wonderful, I’m now pregnant looking into all of what they offer. Xoxo
I loved it there the staff is awesome I enjoyed my experience I would recommend to anyone
I’m trying to find a place to go to rehab for meth is this s good place to go to
The staff here are incredible and they have helped me a lot but for some reason every listed number I call I get a busy signal.
I am in debt to the administration of this hospital..it has saved my life..more than once..
2 SOUTH FOR LIFE..LOL
Don’t go here!! They literally threw me out in the streets after “promises” then last min they discharge me with no communication!! Horrible staff, it’s like prison!
Great people, great care. Very compassionate and helpful! ❤️
Do Not bring your family members here or anyone you love. Absolute disgrace!
i was there twice, great food and cold ac. inpatient . 2011 summer and fall. i meet allot of cool people.
I was a patient, and they released me in worse condition than I came in. They diagnosed me wrong, and now all that I was taught there is useless to help me. DO NOT GO HERE
#WARNING, WARNING, WARNING: if anyone goes to this Hospital, “DO NOT BRING IN ANY OF YOUR #PERSONAL #RECORDS!” They will “#STEAL THEM” and never give them back to you they are #THIEVES….
The staff is rude. They lie turn down people who are asking for help. If the the front desk people like you then your lucky if not .. they won’t help
Spent 6 days here for medical detoxing and I absolutely loved it. So many things to do art, music, meetings
Dr Segal’s awesome nurses great bhts great most of the food was good cleaning staff one in particular was bad. I feel I got everything I needed
I found a place was a little disorganized but I did like the people the setup for intake was kind of ridiculous I think they need a more private area for people who I get an assessment and not release people at the same time in the same Lobby
This place is the best place to go when your mental health is an issue I love this place and recommend it to all walls of life!
They have great doctors and planners who really care about their patients. Im glad i got help here for my bipolar disorder
I have too many things to say about my unexpected visit to this hospital. I don’t recommend the Freedom Care Unit which I was placed for First Responders and Vets!
The staff is amazing they are very caring and listen to what you have to say i was really impressed with hard work and dedication they put into the hospital .
vally hospital was an amazing place .it help me in more ways than one. if it wasnt for this hospital i would be lost it hep me to get clean .i would like to thank all the techs and Dr and nurses .great job
They never returned my daughter to me. I dropped her off under Dr. Robys care in ’04 and apparently they misplaced her. The CEO told me it was a clerical error. I didn’t even get comped!
Staff is very slow in doing their intake seems like they need to stop cheating an get work done then seem short of staff . I think that being mental heath hospital that they should be more open mind on how to organize thing as between staff …
Not a place I would take a loved one in need of detox or mental health issues. Plenty of staff that don’t know their bumm from a hole in the ground. Staff does as little as possible.
DO NOT GO HERE FOR DETOX! THIS IS THE WORST PLACE YOU COULD END UP AT FOR DETOX. STAFF IS HORRIBLE. NURSES ARE HORRIBLE. THEY DO NOT WANT TO HELP ANYBODY. I TRIED TO LEAVE AFTER 3 DAYS AND THEY MADE ME STAY FOR ANOTHER 24HOURS. FOOD HORRIBLE. STAY AWAY!
Valley Hospital is by far the best facility to go to when in a crisis. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and compassionate people that will spend the time it takes to help.
1 of the most amazing hospitals that I have ever receive help from staff was very friendly and very amazing very resourceful people I was encountered with always helps when needed I recommend this hospital to anybody seeking mental health …
My daughter was admitted one wk ago. She is bipolar/schizophrenic. Upon admittance, she WAS OFF ALL MEDS, & VERY PSYCHOTIC!!!!
I told the staff, that when she takes her meds, it’s been 26 yrs, that she’s …
Food is decent, your schedule is busy which is good to take your mind off of everything that’s going on outside, I met great people and most of the staff is understanding to your situation. The only complaint I have was that the communication from staff was poor at times once I was admitted.
I love this place !!! It’s my #1 choice of places to go to get my head right!!!
My son was taken by a woman, your hospital left in the lobby,Heidi, from People of Color now the family does not know where my son is. Said the Police took him, he has mental health, has not committed a crime. The crime is the clinic Dr. …
The staff are frequently treated poorly by patients but only respond in kindness. If you truly need and seek help they are for you. Be warned if you sign yourself in it does not mean you can sign yourself out. They will discharge you when you are safe.
A living nightmare. If you’re seeking mental health this isn’t the right place. You’ll be treated like drug addict and your requests will be ignored. My roommate literally soiled her bed and I was told that they would not change her sheets because she was laying in bed. I came out more traumatized than when I went in.
Shameful. Embarrassing. Execrable. Those are just three adjectives that come to mind when I think about how my good friend, we’ll call her “Bingo”, was treated at Valley Hospital’s Psych Ward. She was completely robbed of her dignity and …
I had a good experience here . Sometimes you have to go through something to make you realize how good life really is . I came out feeling good and refreshed . Yes I see a lot of comments about why they disliked it and it’s mainly due to …
I fell getting off the transportation van. The transportation head, didn’t care. Refused to correct the problem, refused a minor fix. Reflectors on the running board. …
Had you asked me yesterday what I thought of this place, my review would have been FIVE STAR,… until I just got kicked out at 230am, RIGHT as the busses stop running and it’s way too late to get a ride. The staff here had always been so …
They tried to tell me wrong outdated information. Tried to basically say I had a cannabis problem even though I told them far from the truth. They said we don’t think anyone should be coming high or stoned but we don’t believe people should …
Words fail me. Entering a facility such as this is such an uncertain and frightening time. I am reminded of the immortal words of Forest Gump, “You never know what you are going to get”. …
2018 IT’S AN OUTSTANDING PROGRAM BOTH OUT PATIENT AND IN THE THE HOSPITAL ( 2018 I WAS IN HOSPITAL FOR 7 DAY’S OCTOBER 24 TO THE 31 THEN OUT PATIENT FROM NOVEMBER 1 TO DECEMBER 12 ( 2018 ) THEN THEY HAD A GROUP FOR THE GRADUATES I WENT TO …
I was admitted here twice in 2015, the first time was great, the second time was far less tolerable. I take meds for pain relief from my neurologist/pain specialist and they gave me a much smaller dosage and when I confronted the PCP, he …
Was released after a week. Dr. Wiley was late for the time I was supposed to leave. He wrote my prescriptions but forgot to include subutex. About a week later I became incredibly sick. It’s lasted almost another week. I’m going to the …
Everything about this hospital is bad.My husband was told to come on in because the had a unit for active military and vets to address PTSD and other things that go along with it. After we check in and they admit him they tell us the unit …
Ok, I went there to get treatment last week and they sent me out the door with three referrals that I called and they were no help so I went back and it was about midnight and the girl on the other end of the phone that you have to pick up …
Might help detox. Sure keeping someone locked away does that. But you will be in the same rooms with homeless people talking to themselves. Staff will fall asleep and allow the key to be stolen. One or 2 poorly trained female aides for 18 possibly large homicidal patients. I think this place is a disaster.
WELL I HAVEN’T BEEN IN VALLEY SINCE ( 2018 ) OCTOBER 24 TO 31 THEN OUTPATIENT NOVEMBER 1 TO DECEMBER 12 THEN VALLEY HOSPITAL HAD A GRADUATE GROUP THAT MET EVERY WEDNESDAY I WENT TO THE GRADUATE GROUP ALL THUR 2019 AND UP UNTIL MARCH 2020 …
I took myself there because of depression and my meds were working as good…. I waited 8 hours in the waiting room, that was the first thing I didn’t like…. but I thought, oh well, hopefully once I am in the clinic it would be good…. …
You have to ask yourself why you’re reading reviews about a mental health facility… From people that stayed there. This place is great by the way, but don’t take my word for it, find out for yourself!
My husband got admitted over the weekend against his choosing because the person who admits you there from a hospital said she would prefer he go up and all he had to do was 48 hours then he could sign himself out. Well a little over 24 …
My stay at Valley Hospital was a pleasant experience. The majority of the staff were helpful and friendly. I was able to go through my problems in a safe and comfortable environment. I would recommend this hospital to my family members and others who are experiencing mental health issues.
Not all staff is as helpful as others. But if you get the chance to have Emi as your RN and need someone to talk to she’s the best. She’s helped not only me but others there as well more so than any of the doctor’s or therapists ever could. She’s one of those few nurses that knows how to save lives with words alone.
Valley Hospital is by far the best program I have been exposed to.
From the staff and doctor at inpatient to the therapists in PHP and IOP have been nothing but genuinely concerned for my well being and sobriety. …
Please do not send anyone you love here. While they did stablize me after 12 days. It was hell for my wife to communicate with me and the staff were rude a lot and hung up on her a lot with out good reason. No one would talk to her about my …
Staff is generally awesome, minus just maybe two or three, which is pretty spectacular considering. I want to personally thank Curtis, Will, Shaku, Rodrick, Anthony, Cassandra, and the therapy team, and Dr. Lee. With a huge shout out to …
I had a very good experience here. I avoided going for quite some time but now I wish I had just gotten it over with a long time ago. I can’t speak for everyone but I loved the techs on 2N. They went above and beyond to not only meet each …
Terrible. My son attended this group, the day and night outpatient group to be exact.
He was “discharged” for supposedly not coming back from breaks on time. Smoke …

I brought my son this morning.
Asked all the right questions and set a time to arrive.
I let the intake know his condition. Eyes closed, …
This facility should be clearly labeled a detox program. They claim to help with anxiety and panic attacks
However they are strictly here for the money. …
The only way it’s a bad experience, is if you make it a bad experience.
I checked myself into this treatment center, and can honestly say that it saved my life. If you go in, knowing you want and need help, everything will go …
Love You Patricia on Women’s Unit!! You are the best Human ever ❤ I left a great note for you when I was Released!! Please stay yourself and never let anyone change you, you are a very great person and you are very compassionate for us …
Im thinking there outpatient program is a good idea. I’m pretty sure that’s where there real ticket is.
I think I came here or some place nearby. Woman said I’ll be in and out. They made me stay for 10 days. Only outside time was a very small patio area filled with cigarette smoke. PeI please complain about the food but I thought it was all …
I have been to all of the metal hospitals here in az. Valley has taken me in every single time I have gone. Even though it’s a older one i think it’s better than quail run and copper springs because they have been here longer. You can smoke here with 5-6 smoke breaks. They have cool staff.
My experience here was through the Women’s Program. Which, was offered to me as an Outpatient, was wonderful!
I learned a great deal about how to help myself in a healthy manner. To be able …
I took my wife to Valley hospital when she was going through a change of medication for bi polar disorder. When we arrived, the lobby wasn t busy yet it took over 4.5 hrs to get her admitted.i [ts MUCH harder to get out] most of that time …
The inpatient gets a four and the outpatient gets a one. Couldn’t give a 2.5 so I rounded down since the outpatient really was that bad. I was scheduled for an appointment at two, went in and the person I was scheduled with was on lunch, I …
This is the worst excuse for a hospital I have ever experienced. Once they have slapped a label on you for your illness, they can’t think passed it. I had terrible migraines and also seizures and they did little to nothing. If it wasn’t …
This place is horrible. The nurses yelled at me and other patients. They were very disrespectful to most patients. They ended up misplacing my anxiety medication and made me have seisures at home. They wouldn’t tell me where they were …
Last year my wife stayed there. Seemed good at the time. Stole her jewelry and released her pretty much unmedicated… Many episodes after released… She’s now getting the treatment out of state.. way better.. worse thing about valley is …
I absolutely loved the staff at this hospital. I was treated with respect and loving care. Not to mention it’s one of the VERY few hospitals you can have smoking breaks!! The hospital is very clean, most floors are coed and the group …
Staff was wonderful. Freedom care unit is the absolute best unit for veterans, active duty or police. Ambulance workers…professions of that nature. You leave with a 2nd family. The staff all of them we so supportive and welcoming. Angie …
My husband just wants help and instead every thing they donor don’t do triggers his ptsd. This place is just like a military care facility, zero personalized care, not taking into account what the patient needs, and holding them there …
I was very happy with my experience there. Patients were treated with respect and saw a psychiatrist every day who could adjust medication if needed. Staff did the best they could with managing a wide variety of patient needs and …
First and foremost, this is a psych/substance crisis hospital. I was expecting a rough experience, looking at some of these other reviews. I was more than pleasantly surprised by how professional and genuinely caring everyone was on the …
This place is ran more like a detox center than a psych hospital. I was there for seven days, and not once did I see any rooms that their pictures depict except for the cafeteria. I’ve never been to prison, but I can only imagine that is …
I stayed at Valley Hospital recently. People need to realize this isn’t the hotel Marriott! You are there to detox and get help for psychiatric care. As a Veteran I must say the Freedom Care Unit was amazing. The respect was nice and …
They prioritize profits over patients. Rules are inconsistently enforced. The covid protocol is laughable. People get kicked out for drinking, yet they can stay if they’re actively using hard drugs. …
I have nothing to add that the other reviews have not covered. Except I spoke to the chief nursing officer who also blew me off. I reported additional HIPPA concerns accordingly following our no action conversation about my concerns over …
This hospital changed my life. They truly care and are dedicated to helping patients build a better life. I can honestly say that Valley is a place where you can meet driven, motivated, and positive people looking to better themselves. The …
I went here when I was struggling with my mental health after some bad drug experiences and now I’ve completed the medicine regime and now off meds and fully recovered: I want to thank all the lovely nurses and techs that aided my recovery. …
I Freaking Love This Place!!!

I call it my home away from home! …
I was at Valley for an entire month during August 2020 and in their PHP outpatient program in December. During the inpatient stay, Nurse Janet was phenomenal! She constantly worked for the patients, and we all looked forward to her shift. I …

This place is a prison. They do not listen to the patients. They hold you against your will. They threaten you with more time if you say you will AMA yourself out. You volunteer to go in but held against your will. IT IS NOT ON VOLUNTEER …
This hospital is horrible. They hold you hostage,if you try to sign yourself out they will threaten you with judges and longer stays. They force you to take medications and that is pretty much their only “solution” to get you better. The …
If you are in need of immediate mental health help due to trauma, DO NOT go to this facility. When my daughter checked in voluntarily last Wednesday we were told they would have her until roughly Monday, at the latest because they are a …
My visit was a few months ago. Valley Hospital saved my life. There are a few things that could be improved, however these minor inconveniences are far out numbered by how incredible my experience was here. I have Dissociative Identity …
I was an inpatient here. Great place and wonderful staff. I have not had any issues since I was there.
My so went there about 3wks ago. He said 2 guys beat him up In the bathroom. He said then they put him in a room for 2days on a chair and told him not to move. He has been a terrified mess every since he’s been home. He said he had bruises …

This place is so disorganized and no one here knows what they’re doing. I caught covid while i was here and despite my severe depression, that they knew well of, they secluded me to a room by myself for a week and i couldn’t leave, keep in …
If I could give zero stars I would. This place is horrible. They lock you up and don’t let you leave. They hold people against their will. They were taking my blood everyday because they wrongfully put a diagnosis in that I was a type 2 …
I had a very severe bout of depression. The kind that won’t go away. For months on end it continued, with no end in sight. It got to the point where I had not been out- of-doors for nearly 5+ weeks, something had to give. My mother …
I went to the intensive outpatient program (veterans group) here a few years ago now and it was life changing. Valley Health created a safe space for us to open up and share our experiences not just on an emotional level, but a spiritual …

Mental Healthcare in this state is a joke. I am assuming every red state it is just as bad if not worse (technically we are a blue state but not really). Very little funding, questionable ethics, burnout because too many need help and not …
