Disappointed in the care I received. Took me off all my normal medication which caused some problems with my blood pressure and diabetes. Also had nurses that need more training on how to draw blood.
I was consistently shown care, compassion, empathy, and excellence. I was in extreme distress, yet their every move was aimed toward my healing and comfort. They were also welcoming and respectful toward my service animal, which is not always the case in a medical setting.
Very positive overall. Not a 5 star due to nurse that inserted the IV also turned it on and it shouldn’t have been turned on until just before the surgery. They had to put another bag on the IV.

Considering the circumstances of being rerouted to another hospital for procedure at the last minute VRMC handled it to the best of their ability. They were very welcoming, caring, compassionate, and handled it very professionally from administration to nurses/technicians!
Appointment was at 9:30, should have been there at 9 but arrived late. I was greeted nicely and was told that I still had my appointment,, that was such a relief! This was the front desk young lady, very nice!
Every one was so nice and caring. Starting from the registration to the radiology areas. There was a lit of people but i wasnt there for longer then 20 minutes from the timexi went in to the time i left. They explained everything step by step to me before they did anything. Just had my 2nd baby on 8/09, I absolutely love the nurses and staff all very kind and compassionate. Elvira is the sweetest in l&d. Then Michael the anesthesiologist was very kind and helped me feel at ease when giving me my spinal, at one point my BP dropped and he made me feel better in less than a minute.
I was treated very well & promptly. They provided me with a battery of tests, including chest X-ray, EKG, blood work. I am, actually, still sick from the Bronchitis. I hope to be getting well soon. Thank you for your wonderful care.

Emergency front desk needs to improve more kind and understanding. Today my Dad came in with heart & pulmonary issues. We try going to the cafeteria to freshen up but staff said was not Open to the public what ever that means. They really took care of him nurse and doctors.
