I talked to a guy here about my meter on my house, what a prick. They like to threaten to turn off your power if you don’t conform.
Been with them for over 30 years. Always friendly service and very competitive rates especially for water.
If I had a choice to switch to a different power company I would unfortunately I live in an area where Vera is my only option.
I didn’t think there’s a company with worse customer service than Comcast, but this terrible company proved me wrong.
This is a little fly-by-night company that is barely staying in business. The service is poor and the people are low class and not very nice. The Credit department is run by very inexperienced low people.
TERRIBLE service, wish I had a choice as to who my provider was. Called 5 times to come check meter, still haven’t shown up. They are very arrogant on phone as well.
Now that the front office lady Tami is gone I feel safe in calling and coming in. Great customer service and help with any issues we have had. Thanks Vera!
They will not work with you to make any arrangements for pay. Late fees are ridiculous. They they raise monthly payments nearly every month. Bill remains the same even if you are not home for 3/4’s of the month and no power is in use.
Would give them a zero if I could, worst customer service ever…. good thing I have no choice to use them, that’s only reason they have any customers
13 years with the company and very satisfied with their service and prices. Much lower than some others and always respond to my questions quickly.
They have always been fair with me.
They keep costs lower than most of the other utilities around and yet provide good service.

When their solution to their website not accepting payments is “it only works on Internet Explorer (version 9, not 11!),” then you know you’re going to have a bad time. Staff is cordial and willing to make amends, but no amount of frontend human resources can fix a broken system. Only other positive I can say is that rates are cheap.
The absolute worst company to deal with, avoid it at all costs. I am forced to use this company because of the apartment complex I live in. Rude customer service, absurd late fees, impossible to ever know what you actually owe. If I could leave negative stars I would.
Extremely disappointed in the service given by a Christine, when I called over the phone for having two bills sent to my house. Every time I have moved apartments they continue to bill me for months after moving out, even after multiple attempts to tell them that I no longer live at the address. I have had the rental companies try to address the issue as well, but Vera seems to lack any administrative abilities. If at all possible, use a different company.
