We just had a versant employee come and upgrade our homes electric meter (something mandatory), and he left our basement door completely open! This exposed our pipes to negative temperatures during a winter storm (-2 degrees even now), and …
I haven’t had any particular issues but they are very hard to get ahold of if you work they are not open on the weekends and close before seven on the weekdays. My bill is currently late simply because I cannot call to pay it. It’s a little frustrating.
Customer support has always been courteous and respectful to me, allowing me to set up payment arrangements over the years, when winter bills in my poorly insulated home leave me struggling to catch up. Much appreciated!
It seems like as the rates increase the quality of service diminishes. I lose power once a week on average. We need a class action against these thieves.
Possibly the worst you could ask for. Their online services for paying your bill load impossibly slow. Customer service called me once and told me my bill was overdue and sent me to the automated line for paying your bill. Funny story – I …
I have tree branches touching all of my lines in multiple places. Versant sent two people out (they came like 3 months apart) and they both agreed that the trees needed attention. Then dead silence. I call their customer service and they …
I came home at 10:30pm on a Saturday and a wire fell from the pole onto my car. I called customer service and the representative sent a truck over and within 15 minutes everything was fixed and safe once more.
Thank you for helping us out!
40% rate hikes are shameful and anyone responsible for this disgusting decision should be permanently fired and ostracized from the public. You’re sick.
Can’t help but wonder why Maine would sell its Utilities to a foreign entity. Canadian companies don’t care about Maine people, it’s all about revenue. Shame on Maine Lawmakers to allow this.
Probably because
Moving out of the versant power district and leaving my house for vacation only. Between the 3$ fence to pay my bill and going up on an already high power bill just because you can use a bias pov to make it sound good, it’s enough to wonder out to a new nest. 1 less home in your market for you to swindle.
Roommate moves out I put electricity in my name. They tell me it’s going to cost 18 bucks to restore power. What power? There’s already electricity to the apartment!? Then I speak to another lady and she switches it up by saying it cost $18 …

You must be under staffed and probably staff are under payed.
Sucks
Wind blows, power goes out.
Worst customer service and company in the State of Maine.
This business is absolutely frustrating to work with, and I am constantly dealing with issues.
Always the cause of EMEC outages, last night they shut off our power from 1-5 am, however no power until 7am
My mother is receiving $500 a month bills for no apparent reason and Emera refuses to help. …

Terrible customer service, website always has malfunctions, and rates keep increasing

No accountability, terrible company. Only good workers are in the field.

Don’t have much of a choice in providers. Terrible prices, service, and you’ll spend weeks without power annually due to storms.
