Went there for an eye issue, debris in the eye. Shockingly after waiting for an hour and no one showing up, I left on my own and went somewhere else. You’d think an eye with debris would be an emergency. Not sure how they define emergency anymore, guess you must be dead before they’ll see you.
The staff is pleasant and taking for good care of my husband who came in with stomach pain last night. The wait to be seen was minimal and they were very attentive and caring.
The initial check in was quick and efficient. Next portion went slowly but I felt was not up to the standard that I had experienced on previous visits.
When my wife was discharged from WakeMed she was given a 15 page document containing her discharge instructions which were unreadable because their printer had run out on toner. When she asked for a readable copy she was told that was the best they could do so she would simply need to do without.
