Watts Petroleum Corp. was founded in 1936 by John A. Watts, as a commission agent for the Gulf Oil Corporation. This relationship continued until 1984 when Chevron Products Co. purchased the Gulf assets. We maintained our relationship with Chevron and expanded into the Texaco brand until 2010. At that point we partnered with Marathon Petroleum Company and the Spirit brand to supply our retail network.Over the years, Watts Petroleum increased its service area with the purchase of Paul Farmer Oil Co. in Altavista, and Creasy-Musgrove Oil Co. in Bedford. Today, we employ around 40 people and service more than 4,000 homes. Watts Petroleum is still a family run and owned business, with John A. Watts, Jr. as President, Randall J. Watts serves as Secretary-Treasurer and their son, A.

Ran out of gas just before Xmas 12/22. Luckily saw and flagged down a driver and got a refill within an hour. Had an issue later with new logs and Jeff was most helpful, even on a Saturday evening. Best customer service in ages. Highly recommend.

I made phone calls and made 2 trips to Watts Petroleum’s office about buying a 500 gal. tank and getting it installed. They even sent someone to my home to look at the site. I now own a tank from one of their competitors, because these people don’t return phone calls or follow up on what they promise. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE !
