Terrible. Worse than Kaiser for people with chronic, life-threatening conditions. “One Size Fits All” managed care strikes again! Endless runarounds, delays, Providers and staff that dismiss and ignore patients’ healthcare concerns. Access …
Pretty much a bigger waste of money than I could ever imagine. Just know that if you go with them, you have few options as a patient, doctors are not obligated to see you in their terms and service, pre-authorization denials DO NOT need to …
Anytime we need a specialist it is an absolute nightmare dealing with WHA. Going back and forth between calling Primary Dr office, WHA customer service rep, and specialist to get accurate info!!! Everyone says something different. And WHA …
This insurance have hired a person that is making lot of frauds every where giving bad checks from a closed account trying to buy English bulldogs puppies he bought a puppy from me and he gives 2 bad checks from a closed account I have …
Patient with WHA for 3 years based purely on employer options. I’m filing a formal complaint with the state. That being said: if you have lots of prescriptions and/or doc visits, etc., watch your copays closely. Every year I fight with …
This is possibly the WORST coverage I have ever received. First, getting hold of someone in customer service is near impossible and once you do speak with them they typically can not support you. I tried to cancel my service with them and …
Created an account. Does not let me access my account. As a new member, this is unacceptable. I tried talking to their chat to correct issue and they did not read the message and closed the session. Very unprofessional. Not sure what to do now. Cant login and they don’t want to help.
This health insurance has been a complete nightmare and we can not wait till open enrollment is back.
Western Health does not give you a lot of choices for providers, the most …
I am so upset to be writing this review. WHA had been good insurance for me until the recent break from working with UC Davis, and in that transition WHA completely screwed me. When I initially got the letter saying we had to change our …
Zero star! I have a PRIMARY CARE doctor on my insurance card but I have not seen her at all. Trying to get an appointment since June 2017 and still nothing. The people you talk to on the phone are not very helpful. They can’t answer a …
I was told more than once an ER visit was being processed and not to pay until it was processed. A year later, (original date of service Oct. 2016) thy finally told me I was responsible for $1600 + bill. What, not enough that I paid about $2500 + for 2016? I will NOT renew my coverage in 2018, not worth the hassle.
Worst I’ve ever encountered. The doctors do not follow up. 7mins late to sign in and I have to wait 2 MONTHS for next availability?! What if I’m sick?! This sickens me
I called twice and spoke with two different representatives to discuss what my plans’ coverage was for a medical procedure. Both times I was told everything would be covered, no out of pocket expenses. WHA got the bill and now says, “It’s …
Worst doctors. I was lucky to get a great PCP, but the list they give you is horrible doctors with awful reviews. I had to go out of network a few times for different doctors because of this issue.
I’m not sure why the negative reviews – This is the best HMO that my family has ever had, and we have had a few over the years. Great customer service and doctors who spend time with their patients. Getting specialist referrals has been fast and simple.
Terrible service. They require I receive preauthorization for my medication. Every single month my doctor has to fill out paperwork. As a result I routinely miss doses every month. It may be bad for my health but it saves them money. And that is what matters most to them.
so far pretty unhappy. Very few drs in the Napa County area take this insurance. So the few that do are booked for months. Big problem, you have to see two drs and coordinated two Dr’s just to get to see the one you want to see. And that could take months. Thanks Obama care
This insurance company is very bad, they did not pay the bill to the medical provider as of their “Benefits and Coverage” outlined.
Do not use this health insurance company, they are really bad company.
I want to give them a zero star instead of 1.
This is the worst insurance I have ever had. I can never see my actual doctor. No labs take this insurance in my area, so I have to travel out of the county to get work done. I seem to come out of pocket more than being covered. Such a joke …
I’m upset that I have to give 1 star. I have had this insurance for 2 months and I haven’t been able to get a appointment with any doctors. Customer service is a joke!!! Pay a few extra dollars and get quality insurance. This is worst then Medi-cal. My employer pays money every month and I can’t see a doctor????
Called up my health care provider about getting a covid test. They told me they dont give covid tests and they dont want to see me if Im sick. What the hell am I paying for???
I feel really bad for the people who have had negative experiences with WHA, but I have had nothing but a positive experience! All of the best doctors and specialists in my area are covered by it, and my prescriptions are easy to get through Magellan.
Customer service at WHA is always great. Always able to reach someone quickly, friendly people who always answer my questions and help me find the information I need to know about my health coverage.
Got a $3000 bill from the hospital for an ailment that turned out not to be as serious as previously thought. I put in the dispute with the hospital and they complained the insurance company was giving them the runaround. Thats pretty …
Awful. I have been trying to get reimbursed $260 by WHA for 6 months. Every time I get off the phone with them they assure me I’ve provided the required information, then when I call them again they say they need more information. They have …
If I could give zero stars I would. Nearly no specialists to choose from in my “region” Referalls constantly delayed or rejected, constant changing of who is an approved Doctor for services, had to go through another medical group for …
I have had bad experiences with WHA since the time I enrolled. I was referred to an E#NT Dr. by my Primary care Dr. They wrote me a letter stating I would have to pay for that visit as they claim I had no referral. Now I had a hearing test. …
I am new to WHA as a patient and I am a physician. I am trying to navigate care and have found the customer service to be impersonal and ineffective. I find that such customer service is common in a company that provides limited …
It shouldn’t take 8-10 months for claim reimbursement and/or getting back to someone’s mental health professional regarding a single case plan, yet here I am, going on month 10 with no response back. Filed claims, sent messages, and called, I just get the run around every time and don’t seem to get the promised call back.
My mother just received an enrollment letter from this company telling her her coverage starts in Jan 23. However she did not enroll. All she did is check elegability and the company went ahead and enrolled her w/o permission. This company …

Worst Accounting Dept in the entire world! Absolutely pathetic and unresponsive.
Had cramping and spotting in early pregnancy and was not able to make appointment for 3 weeks from the time a called.
If you have any health problems you will probably end up dying because WHA doesnt care about you.
Zero stars. No customer service. No concern for getting their insured the medical care they need.
Blown away by the bad reviews… nothing but love for this place. Apparently these folks haven’t been to Kaiser or Sutter
Good value plan. No problems with customer service or visits
