  1. This wasn’t even an appointment for me. It was for my wife and we got there early, only to have to wait over an half an hour for her to be seen. Then we had to wait another 20 minutes after my wife was seen by the doctore for her to finish …

  2. who said they are very kind service? No they are not. i feel like i am not welcomed person. they are not smile…one star is not enough either

  3. Very clean nice friendly staff, didn’t have to wait long at all I’ve been going there for 5 years also they don’t mind fixing your frames if you sit on them like me ,no need to call just walked in.

  4. Helpful and caring staff. I had an issue with my eye while Dr. Draayer was on vacation and he took the time to call me and check to see how I was doing even though I was seen by another doctor.

  5. Handled my eye wears needs yrs ago. Now back and same outstanding care. In fact until they told me that frames were also pd. by insurance l wouldn’t of known. Good people. Vance

  6. Terrible !would not recommend ! I was charged $40 for missing an appointment even though I couldnt receive an answer despite my continued calls the day prior which prevented me from being able to cancel the appointment within my 24 hour …

  7. I have been a customer for 6+ years at Whylie on Ingersoll. Each time I leave with new, stylish frames and excellent customer service. I love walking in the door to people who know my name and my style!

  8. From initial welcome to the very comprehensive eye exam and the help in selecting new glasses, the Whylie team was very impressive. It was recommended from a friend when I said I needed to go to LensCrafters. “No way, you have to try Whylie!” She couldn’t have been more right! Thank you, all!

  9. Dr.Daniel Draayer, O.D. and staff at Pleasant Hill Whylie Eye Care are so competent and friendly! My son and I have our eyes examined and get new glasses from them yearly. Anyone needing eye care could absolutely trust them!

  10. Very rude and unfriendly environment at the Ingersoll location. When you walk into the building you’re not greeted or anything which makes everything feel extremely unwelcoming. Today (December 18) I called to get my prescription adjusted …

  11. Dr. Greteman (Carroll, Iowa location) has been our family eye doctor for years. He is wonderful. He has seen us for regular eye exams and in emergencies. The gals in the office are friendly and help us when we need our glasses fixed.

  12. I absolutely love this place! We started coming here after having some bad experiences at the whyle eye center in Johnston (even when they used to be in urbandale)-had too many times where I felt the front desk staff (older ladies) treated …

  13. I’ve been going to Whylie’s since I first got glasses back in elementary school. As terrified as I was, Dr. Jenn Overton was very kind. I’ve been through many pairs of glasses throughout the years and after recently getting my new pair, Todd is phenomenal! I highly recommend this place.

  14. Don’t go here, i got what was supposed to be top of the line glasses from here. All 8 screws on it where loose. Some way more the others. You could move the frame. I took then back to get tightened up. The ladie scratched my lense then …

  15. I have been a customer for many years at Whylie’s eye care and have always had great service from Dr. Williams for my eye care and also excellent help in choosing my eye wear from both Kim and Linda! Thank you to all the at the Johnston,Ia. office and recommend them to any one!

  16. I have been wearing the same “look” of glasses forever because I didn’t know how to decide what would look good on my face, with my coloring etc. I went to the Ingersoll location and with their expert guidance, bought some glasses that I …

  17. Wow! This place is awesome! The entire staff is amazing and they took great care of me. Whitney knows her stuff. The eye doctor impressed me with his high level of care. I am your newest lifetime client. Would highly recommend Whylie Eye Care to all my friends!!!

  18. Johnston Whylie is the worst eyecare exam and experience I’ve had in all the years since I’ve worn glasses. That’s over 50 years. The staff there is rude and condescending. After receiving my glasses and giving me a couple weeks to adjust, …

  19. I highly recommend Dr. Draayer at the Pleasant Hill location. His exam was very thorough, and he took his time. I have not gotten my glasses yet, but I have had occasion to get glasses for my kids there. The opticians are very knowlegeable and helpful. Overall, we always have good experiences there.

  20. I have gone here off and on for a long time. They have a good variety of glasses and are professional. They also do a great job with customer service. They are slightly pricey than some of the other eye care places but i find it worth the money.

  21. I recently purchased a golf progressive sunglass lens from a young man (Vince). It is a WOW in all ways. Vince shared with me that Whylie was the first company in the US to use this special technology from Shamir Lens. The depth, and …

  22. I have had nothing but good experience with you guys I love the employees very polite. I used to go to the E 14th location till they moved to Ingersoll location. I love the doctor. I definitely recommend them to anyone.

  23. Update after owner response: I didn’t purchase anything because I took my services elsewhere after poor customer service experience. The “free product” was a 5 day trial of contact lens that Whylie’s gets for free from distributor.

  24. I took my granddaughter to get her glasses fixed on 9/3/2022. The clerk did fix them in a matter of minutes. I asked this clerk if she would check my new medicare & secondary insurance would cover $300.00 toward a new pair of glasses. …
